The 1930 Census for Coshocton County, OH, listed Vera L. Davis in the Clarence Davis household, her relationship as wife, her age as 30, married at 17, and born in OH. The 1920 Census for Coshocton County, OH, listed Vera Davis in the Clarence Davis household, her relationship as wife, her age as 20 and born in OH. Ohio Marriages, 1800-1958 listed the marriage record of Vera Dawson and Clarence Davis on September 16, 1916, in Coshocton County, OH, her parents were listed as John Dawson and Ma... Wright and her age as 17. The 1910 Census for Coshocton County, OH, listed Vera Dawson with her parents John and Lizzie M. Dawson in the Benjamin Wright household, her relationship as granddaughter, and her age as 10 and born in OH. John Dawson and Lizzie M. Dawson were listed as son-in-law and daughter and married 14 years and Lizzie was listed as age 23 and born in OH. Benjamin Wright was listed as age 59 and born in OH and a widower. The 1900 Census for Coshocton County, OH, listed Vera Dawson in the John Dawson household, her relationship as daughter and born in June 1899 in OH. John's wife was listed as May L. Dawson and born in July 1876 in OH. Ohio Marriages, 1803-1900 listed the marriage of May L. Wright and John W. Dawson on May 16, 1895, in Coshocton County, OH. The 1880 Census for Coshocton County, OH, listed Lizzie M. Wright in the Ben F. and Nancy E. Wright household, her relationship as daughter and her age as 3 and born in OH. Ben F. Wright was listed as age 30 and born in OH and Nancy E. Wright was listed as age 27 and born in OH. Coshocton County Ohio Births 1867-1879 listed the birth of Lizzie M. Wright on July 5, 1876, at Franklin Township, Coshocton County, OH, and her parents as B. F. Wright and Nancy E. Finnell. Marriages Coshocton County, Ohio, 1811-1930, compiled by Miriam C. Hunter, 1967, and Coshocton County, Ohio, Marriage And Will Records, compiled by Helen Meredith, Coshocton County Chapter - Genealogical Society of Ohio, 1996, listed the marriage of Benjamin F. Wright and Nancy E. Finnell on both October 1, 1871, and September 15, 1875, in Coshocton County, OH. Those sources also listed the marriage of B. F. Wright to Martha McCoy on November 9, 1871, in Coshocton County, OH. This B. F. Wright was the son of Henry Wright and the nephew of your Benjamin F. Wright. The 1870 Census for Coshocton County, OH, listed one Benjamin F. Wright in the Henry Wright household, but this was the Benjamin F. Wright who married Martha McCoy. The 1870 Census for Coshocton County, OH, also listed B. F. Wright in the Delila Wright household and his age as 21 and born in OH. Ohio Deaths, 1908-1953 listed the death of B. F. Wright on March 4, 1916, in Coshocton County, OH, his parents as Geo. Wright and Delilah Slaughter, and his birth on June 5, 1850, in OH. The Index of Civil War Pension Records listed George W. Wright with wife Delilah as a member of Company G, 143rd Ohio Infantry and the pension application number as 64667. Centennial History of Coshocton County, Ohio, by William J. Bahmer, 1909, listed George W. Wright as a member of Company G of the 143rd Ohio Infantry and that he died in 1864 at Hampton, VA, and was buried in Grave 22, Row 8, Sec. E. U.S. Veterans Gravesites, c. 1775-2006 listed the death of G. W. Wright on August 16, 1864, and buried in Hampton National Cemetery, Sec. E, Site 1088. The 1860 Census for Coshocton County, OH, Benjamin Wright in the George Wright and Delia Wright household and his age as 10 and born in OH. George Wright was listed as age 31 and born in OH. The 1850 Census for Coshocton County, OH, listed Henry F. Wright in the George Wright and Delilah Wright household and his age as 6/12 and born in PA. However, the census taker simply used ditto marks for place of birth and failed to change from PA to OH in the listings and so the place of birth was OH. The listing of his name as Henry rather than Benjamin was probably another census taker error. Ohio Marriages, 1800-1958 listed the marriage record of George W. Wright and Delilah Slaughter on March 15, 1849, in Coshocton County, OH. I have a number of secondary sources which identify George W. Wright as the son of Joseph Wright and his second wife Jane (Hartford) Wright. However, I have not been able to document this identification with primary evidence. If the identification of George W. Wright's parents is correct, and I think that is probable, then George W. Wright was: 1. the son of 1866 (year of death) Joseph Wright of Coshocton County, OH, (place of death) and Jane (Hartford) Wright, 2. the grandson of 1805 William Wright of Fauquier County, VA, and Elizabeth (Lloyd) Wright, and 3. the great grandson of 1752 John Wright of York County, VA, and his second wife Ann (_____) Wright.
