Hi, I don't think I've written to this list about my brick wall yet. I hope someone can help me. My 2 x Great Grandfather was Daniel E. Wright, born 2 Sept 1832 in Alder Creek, Oneida, NY. I have been unable to find Daniel on a census (and therefore to link him to his parents) prior to his marriage in 1854. His obituary also does not indicate his parents. Daniel lived in Schroeppel, Volney and Fulton NY before moving to Dwight, IL in 1888. He died in Dwight, IL on 10 April 1910. I have sent for his death cert a couple of months ago but it has not yet arrived. I don't know if it will include parents or not. Daniel's parents are reputed to be Luther G. Wright (b.25 Aug 1802, no death info) and Mary Blydenburg Platt (11 Mar 1804-29 Feb 1848 buried in Alder Creek Cemetery). I have no idea who Luther's parents were or where they came from. My cousin got stuck here 60 years ago. I would like to solve this puzzle. If anyone can even tell me where to look in upstate NY or where to hire a researcher I would be appreciative. I've had my brother do a Y-DNA test for the Wright gene to try and break through this brick wall. (Test results still pending.) Thank you, Diane Wright

I recently found a William listed in the 1820 census for Peru, Clinton County, NY during some library research. (The Ancestry.com image was unreadable.) My ancestor, Lyman Wright, per his death certificate, was born 1819 in Peru. I am very hopeful I have found his father. There is only one other Wright listed in that census, Whittlesey, and I am reasonably certain that is not his father. I am not sure if this is the same William as the one from Saybrook, but it is worth a look. Thank you. Allan Wright Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. They are buried at East New Hope Cemetery in Mount Pleasant Texas. Per Vollies death certificate her mother was Elizabeth Randle and father Tommy Wright. I believe Elizabeth is buried at East New Hope as well and the dates on the stone are 20 Nov. 1854 - 13 Dec 1901. I believe Lonnie and others are buried here as well. I can not find Tommy.
