He had a sister, Linda and a half-brother brother, Paul. I attended Fred and Eulene's wedding reception at their home on Oakcrest Ave. And was aware that Eulene had delivered her children at home with family help. Fred's mom was Dorothy but was more commonaly called Doe. His dad was Michael Dies. Doe died of a burst aneurism suddenly at home. i remember the phone call at our home when we were notified. It was a very sad time. Although I did not know Fred well, I did work with him on a moving truck a time or two. Fred's parents bought a VW bug when no one yet knew what they were. Uncle Mike worked for the city collecting garbage and he often came home with remarkable treasures that he had discovered at the dump. I remember that Aunt Doe was one of my favourite aunts, cosy and loving just the way you wanted your aunts to be. Uncle Mike's tattoo from the merchant marine? Kind of creeped me out at the time. I guess that he ! was ahead of his time. We had a few family reunions in Guelph arranged by Fred's brother, Paul. He said that he had been unsuccessful in tracking down either Fred or his family or Linda and hers. Your contact would a lot to all of the remaining members of the Wright clan. The only aunt left is Marge. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I have done research on the subject. If he was indeed a cousin of the Wright brothers there would be a common relation. He was Archy Alven Wright and I have traced him back to Parley Wright born in 1814 in Manlius New York. There is no trace of his parentage. What I have found is that at that time there were several Wright families in Manlius and that those families had slaves who were from the reservation in Onodago County which is close to Manlius. The head of one of the Wright families was Benomi Wright. Because my grandfather was of a darker skin, we are now searching the records to see if his grandfather was a slave. As such the relationship would be that of a master and his slave. I suggest you search the 1790 cenus of New York state for Manlius Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
