This bible is sacred and we treat it as such. To the point no one is to touch it or distrub it because of the locks entombed inside. For some reason last night I decided to look into it a little....and then to find out Milton, father of the Wright brothers was a bishop set chills..not to mention how religious that family was. It's not normal for a ordinary family to have a bible like this. Deb Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. States he was well known and popular then mentions his brothers...sam,G.A., Harry of baker and William Wright in Kansas and two sisters Mattie Scrimger of Charles City Iowa and Florence Barber of Corpus Christie, Texas. like I said locks of hair, a hand written perscription just to mention a few oh and a place setting for one of the Wrights. I had DNA done on my brother, and it gave me more questions than answers. Nothing matched the "WRIGHT" family it came back 6 to 8 generations ago we were "CATHCARTS". How that happened I don't know yet. It's fun to try and reconstruct families. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I love to purchase treasures and I found a Bible in a store along the coast...The story gets better... Well its not like any bible this thing his huge and looks like it belonged in a church or to a bishop, preacher. When I looked inside and saw the family name written and owned by a my Samuel S Wright Nov 11 1873 to July 23, 1943... I kind of laughed to myself thinking how cool it would be if it was the WRIGHT family! His wife was Cora D. Cole both from bluejacket Oklahoma. I've done a little research and Milton was a bishop his siblings he was one of seven who also. Four of them were spurred to religious devotion by their mother. What interesting is there is two children's hair who passed away in parts of the bible. All I can say its very eerier.... This Wright family was very religious and I'm wondering if they weren't cousins maybe. I guess I could have DNA done... New Jersey is just across the Delaware River from Bucks County so this make sense to me, the problem for me is all the Wright families seem to have name their children the same Family Names, so it is very hard to determined who would have been Benjamin's father and his father, I have been targeting the Wright's for Bucks County and I think I have found the right family but cannot be 100% sure . The family is Stephen Wright in Bucks County Pa with the family line I believe going thur the Thomas Wright married to Mary Schooly I have used the maps on ancestry.com and the family is from the same area, I would love any input that you have on my theories.
