James & his wife Margaret lived in East St Kilda (both are buried in St Kilda Cemetery), with a large estate in Sorrento. He was the founding President of the Sorrento Golf Course on the Mornington Peninsula. Does anyone have any further info on his life as a boy in Melbourne (where he went to school etc etc), and his later business interests ? Since I first posted below I checked the 1840 Clinton County, Ohio census. I found in Wayne Township Christian Rhonemus (shortened from Hieronimus), George Row, William Rhonemus, George Rhonemus and BYARD WRIGHT living next door to them. But I don't find Tate Wright, my grandfather, until the 1850 Clinton County census in Richland Township, next to Wayne Township. Would anyone have any info on Byard Wright. Marianne Dillow Illinois ______________________________________________________________________ I am looking for the parents of Tate Wright who was born in Ohio in 1824. He married Rebecca Dick 29 Sep 1844 in Clinton County, Ohio in Richland Township. He was listed as a blacksmith in the 1850 Clinton Co., Ohio census. Rebecca Dick is the daughter of Hieronymous Dick (spelled various ways) and Mary Ann Brunner. He lived in Wayne Township in Clinton Co., Ohio. I also have found a Andrew Rhonemus that immigrated from Harper's Ferry to Ross Co., Ohio and on to Clinton. Co. Ohio and settled in Wayne Township in 1812. Some of the family settled near the village of Centerville on Lee's Creek in that county. These families were in Jefferson County (now West Va) and Frederick Co Va. In late generations there is Jacob Rhonemus who immigrated to Clinton Co., Ohio in 1808 as a driver for William Biggs. And there was a Andrew Rhonemus living in Clinton Co., Ohio also. Heironimus (sp?) Dick , my grandfther, lived in Wayne Township in Clinton Co., Ohio next to Richland Township where my Tate Wright and Rebecca Dick lived in 1845. Tate Wright and Rebecca Dick removed from Clinton Co., Ohio and was in the Des Moines County, Iowa , Union Township, census in 1856 and was living next door to Armsted Davis and wife Eliza A. Davis with a Thomas Wright living with them. All were born in Ohio. Tate Wright was 31 years old in the census and Armsted Davis was 37; Thomas Wright was living with the Davis family and was 23 years old. I do not know if they are kin to Tate Wright or not. Tate Wright moved on to Saline Co., Missouri in the 1860 census and in the 1870 census he was living in Pulaski County, Illinois where he died after that census. I descend from their son Fairfax Wright that was born 25 Jun 1845 in Clinton Co., Ohio. He died 12 Jan 1913 in Pulaski Co., Illinois. Any information on Tate Wright in Ohio and possible parents would greatly be appreciated that connects to the Dick and Rhonemus families. This is a brick wall to me. Marianne Dillow Illinois

There is a John L Oswalt and a Elizabeth too She is on the 1911 census living with the John Binns Wright family. Lethwold was at home , he was 17, she was 40. She died in 1950, single. In the death record it says that he was born in Buckwork, Huntingdonshire, England. Huntingdonshire in now part of Cambridge. I did find a chr for a Thomas 4 Feb 1816 in that place. One strange thing is that I found a chr for a Fanny Garn Marshall 31 may 1846 dau of Thomas and Eliza. All the records i have seen state she was born in 1852 in Quebec. It could be that the 1st fanny died and they named the next daughter the same which often happened. She had a brother John Thomas born in 1839 and George 1856 and Charles 1859. I assume there must have been children between John Thomas and Fanny as that is a 14 year gap! Thomas Marshall's wife is a mystery. her name was Eliza but i've been told that her maidian name was Ford but on Fanny's death record it say Mitchell????
