    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: Whozwright Surnames: Wright Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.wright/15147/mb.ashx Message Board Post: If anyone could help me out with info about him, it would be greatly appreciated...Augustus was my great-great-great uncle. He was wounded during the Petersburg campaign and had his left leg amputated, and died from the wounds July 1864. I have his detailed service record, but unfortunately the one thing it is missing is his hometown, needed so I can confirm without a doubt that it is him. He had brothers James, Jonathan, William Haviland, sisters Louisa, Susan and Ellen. Father was Daniel R. Wright of Bayside, Queens, mother Susan E. Smith Wright. May have lived in Whitestone at the time. Thanks~ Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. My grandfather was Innocenzo De Cotis from Panni Foggia, Italy. We are trying to trace his immigration records from Italy to US, but aren't having any luck. We don't have any of his siblings names. He arrived in the US around 1919, married Catherina Dileo in 1921 and died in 1958. He was a landscape gardener. He originally lived in Providence, Cranston then finally in Warwick, RI If you are familiar with him or think you are related, please contact me. All we know is his name, but don't have any of his ancestors names. We met one cousin Amalio Decotiis from British Columbia. I've met Fred De Cotis from RI and heard about the De cotis families in Newport, but think they are most likely cousins. Any info would help. Thanks Cheryl De Cotis PS We found out that some of the De Cotis people from Italy changed the spelling of their name to Decotiis. Interesting, but don't know why.
