I am positive about the information concerning my great grandfather and back 2 more generations, but then I cannot find records or anyone who lists the same person. My great grandfather was Christopher Columbus Wright (1879-1916) in Crawford Co., IN. His father was Nathan Wright (1830-1892) in Indiana as well. His father was John Wright (1800-1879) born in North Carolina and died in Indiana. Christopher married Lillie Creech. Nathan married Jane Martin as well as Julia Ann Goodson, and Julia Riddle. John married Mary "Polly" Wray. Now according to files at family search, John's parents were Greenbury Wright (1770-1812) who married Catherine Lodica Sevedge (1774-1860). Greenbury's parents were Peter Wright (1754-1821) who married Rachel Woods (1754-1777). Can anyone tell me if this is correct as I have the complete family line if this information is correct. For a number of years I have been trying to find the ancestry of my great-grandfather. I haven't had much luck getting back to his parents (supposed names are Eli Wright and Eliza Kimes/Kimins). Charles was born in either IN or MI most likely in Apr 1860 (but records disagree). "Garry" WRIGHT-Garrett E. (Garry) Wright, passed away November 27, 2007 at his home from Lung Cancer. He was born May 9, 1922 in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. He was in the Navy for 4 years and was discharged as a Commissioned Office. He was enrolled in the Officer's Training program for the V-1 2 Rocked & Radar Systems and received his education at M.I.T., Oklahoma A & M, and University of Colorado graduating with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering. After many years in the Electronic field he changed careers and became a Consultant in the Benefits & HealthCare plans for Taft-Hartley Trust Funds. Garret married Mary Kerman, who predeceased him, and they had three children: Susan, Deborah (Debbie) and Stephen Wright. Later he married Carol Ricks with whom he had three children: Michael, Geraldine (Gerlie) and John Wright. In 1989 he married Sherri Johnson and gained 3 step-children: Linda, Lisa and Steven. He also has 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He is survived by his wi! fe of 18 years Sherri, his six children, his step-children and their families and his sister JoAnn and her husband plus nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 8 at 1:00 pm at Pasadena Christian Church, 789 N. Altadena Drive, Pasadena. A gathering will take place immediately after the servi ce. Nancy was a sister to Barbara Morgan who married my Benjamin Wright Sr. After the death of Nancy...Richard married Cary Kittreil (will says Cary) Their children included: Nelson, Silas, Ruth, Burgess, Cei lly, Clayton, Mary, Micajah, Miles and Ailsy. "The children of the first wife came west except Nancy. Many settled in Washington and Putnam Co., IN. Two, at least, moved to Iowa in their latter days.
