That would've made him 6 years old by the 1870 census, so I doubt that's the one although I do appreciate the info. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Jerri, While I cannot answer your specific question regarding Samuel Wright's church, attached below is what I have collected on your 1824 Samuel Wright of Kentucky, the son of 1825 Achilles Wright of Oldham County, Kentucky. The tabbing gets messed up copying into an email, but I think it is nevertheless readable. I would be happy to exchange information on this Wright family with you and other interested researchers. Best wishes, Robert N. Grant 15 Campo Bello Court Menlo Park, CA 94025 Excerpt from 1825 Achilles Wright of Oldham County, Kentucky: B. 1824 Samuel Wright Of Kentucky, His Wives Nancy (Gatewood) Wright And Martha (Conduitt) Wright, And His Descendants 1824 Samuel Wright of Kentucky was a son of 1825 Achilles Wright of Oldham County, Kentucky, and Nancy ( ) Wright. The 1810 Census for Henry County, Kentucky, listed Samul Wright with the following household: Free Free All Other Name of Head White White Free of Family Males Age Female Age Persons Slaves Samul Wright 1 26-45 1 26-45 3 0-10 2 16-26 3 0-10 As will be set forth below, Samuel Wright married in 1817 in Henry County, Kentucky, and, therefore, this record is probably for him and indicates that Samuel Wright was born between 1765 and 1784. The will of Achilles Wright dated January 17, 1824, and probated in September 1825 at Oldham County, Kentucky, W.B. 1/34 listed Samuel Wright as one of his children: ". . . . Item first. My will and desire is that my son Samuel and my daughters Nancy and Elizabeth have no more of my estate because they have had their equal portion each of them having had two negroes each. . . ."
