WRIGHT Digest v3 i95 was almost impossible to follow like so many of the other recent digests because it's so cluttered and the subject lines are almost meaningless. Wading through all this for some tiny snippet about my own John Wright brick wall is like herding cats. If you're posting about some particular Wright it's a good idea to put the name and birth year in the subject-- John WRIGHT 1804-- and maybe a location --St Brides VA-- after. It's interesting reading about other people's relatives but sometimes distracting. When you change the topic change the subject line. Digest v3 i95 dealt with 3 subjects and used the same header line. Identical subjects on different topics makes searching the archives very confusing. When you reply to a previous post you really need to quote briefly and to the point. Don't quote the whole message--just the part you're replying to. Trim out all the previous headers and footers, like the unsubscribe instructions and the AOL ads. Refutation without citing sources turns a discussion into a shouting match. 'Was!' 'Was not!' 'Was!' 'Was not!' isn't very helpful. For example I couldn't tell which Richard Wright wasn't born in Connecticut. I daresay a number of Richard Wrights _were_ born in Connecticut as well as many who weren't. It'd really be helpful to know which Richard Wright wasn't born in Connecticut and how you know for certain. I'll risk seeming like a selfish nag, but wading through great meaningless clumps of unattributed statements and repeated unsubscribe instructions makes my hitherto fruitless search for John WRIGHT 1804 snippets even more forlorn. I need clues to a James WRIGHT in dauphin Co. PA circa 1730-80 or earlier. North Carolinia WRIGHTs possibly connected with Inyart/ENYARD or any combination or DURLIN/DURLING /DERLIN again any combination and the WRIGHTs in Randolph, Chariton, Macon, Pettis and Henry Co. in Mo. after 1830. Most of these or their descendents were in Madison Co KY at one time. And Yes There is a Richard among them s/o Hezekiah & Deliliah md. a Sarah Green. Died and is buried in Henry Co. Mo. Bud.
I hope you can all read this. I transcribed it from the Bible. It is just about his family. In a message dated 3/21/2008 11:09:16 A.M. I agree! We should all work together and try to understand and tolerate each others mistakes. As my grandmother used to say " Don't judge till you walk a mile in their shoes". Donna should be commended because despite her inabilities, she is trying to accomplish something here. Good for her!! Joyce In defense of Donna, and her inability to make herself clear, she has a very bad brain disorder and is confined to a wheelchair. Just thought that guy who jumped her would want to know. Mary

My Richard Wright, Sr. died in Rowan Co. NC.. but there is no proof to date that says he was born in Connecticut.. I've learned a lot from your input -- For Susan - You have given me new insight on Davidson Co. I knew that Davidson had been part of Rowan at one time, I just didn't realize HOW the separation had been accomplished. It's nice to know why I saw the difference. For Bud - Some of the Wright family in Davidson did move westward to Illinois, Iowa, and Missouri. They carried the same names throughout each generation, sometimes withing the same generation. Without specific information such as location, birth year, etc., it's difficult to establish who's who. Even so,we may be of the same base family. I, too, prefer dealing with information that can be substantiated. For Debbie - if you would like to do so, please contact me personally. You're right - we are family. Regardless of whomever Richard Wright, Sr.'s parents were/are, you've given enough information about his children to reinforce my own research. If you're interested in R.W., Jr's second family, perhaps I can fill in the empty spaces - especially since there is none about my Great-grandmother Mary Ann Wright Varker, except that which I personally researched. Thanks, again. Shirley Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I'm a teacher in a tiny bush village in southwest Alaska. Weather is a big stresser right now. First day of spring and it's -27!! What's up with that?! Saw pictures of the Skagit Valley tulip fields in Washington which is my lower 48 home area. Made me major homesick. Anyway, the info you want is Virgil Wiles was born near Bakersfield, MO in 1893 and died in 1967. He was married to Anna Jackson, her parents were William Jackson and Rebecca Hall Deatherage. She was born March 22, 1894 in Fulton Couty Arkansas, near Moody. She died Sept. 25, 1986 at the age of 92 years old. She and Virgil are both buried in the Oaklawn Cemetery in West Plains, MO. She wrote me when I was looking for my dad's family. We corresponded for almost 10 years. She was a really sweet lady. One of her children was Dr. Jack Wiles of West Plains, MO. He passed away on May 1, 1985. I have pictures of Virgil, Anna, Jack and other family members. If you'd like me to send them to you, let me know. I can make copies and mail them to a physical address, or I could try scanning them here at school and e-mailing them to you. Let me know. Have a great day. Hope it's more springlike where you are.
