He had 2 daughters by his first wife Rowena Abbott. 2 children by 2nd wife Lucy McAllister. One of which was Silas E. Wright, and the other(not named) died in 1884. male? female? Eben married Lucy in Canton, NY 8 Feb 1827. Silas was born in Cramme, Ont. 7 Oct 1836. This leads me to think the unknown child was older than Silas? The George you mentioned could very well be the missing child. I have not looked further. Do you know when George died? Those captains had to have licenses, so begin looking in state tax records and licensing agencies. The census for this area are fascinating and frustrating in what they don't say, but list of crews were taken on rare occasion list of passengers(very rare). The did file and sign cargo manifest. He went to Cali in 1850, then went back for the family. He was a blacksmith by trade. He had at least 6 children. One of which was Francis M Wright, my ancestor, born 1842. He help settled Methow Valley, Washington around 1887. He was known as Cap Wright. In 1923, during an interview Francis remembers hearing a brother was a steamboat captain 10 years earlier on the Sacramento River. I've found a couple of 'Wright' captains, but no proof they are the children of Samuel Wright. Any information would be helpful for Samuel & his other children. I wonder how many eben/Ebenezer Wrights there have been and are? Mine started I have found with an Oyster bay. Long island New York record, date variable but early 1700's on to pa. and probably North Caroline(I have a different line there who also had sons. Eben. And then to Ky and a tie with the LEE line, some went to Missouri and on to Texas and there were plenty of Georges too. without a date of some type and possible places it is hard to get help. This has helped no one. -----
