I have been trying to decipher the recently acquired military records of Frederick C. Van Idour of the above Regiment. He was killed in Heseler Feld, Germany 19 February 1945 but I can find nothing on-line regarding this battle. Also: His records have many codes. Hi Robert The 3rd one, ICERU, could possibly be No. 1 Canadian Engineers Reinforcement Unit. My grandfather, from Ontario, served with this unit until April 1943 and in his correspondence I originally thought the 1 was a capital i. I could be wrong of course.
