The two individuals are : Master Sergeant F M Lancaster and Captain Matheny. I have a copy of a photo of a master sergeant which I believe is that of Mst Sgt Lancaster sitting in front of a sign which reads : "RADIO MUNICH 6870 -DISCC US Army Notice to all military personnel The canteen on these premises will not serve transients..." The picture was taken at the Radio Munich transmitter location at Ismaning, Germany I would be very grateful to hear from anyone who knows either of these two individuals or who has information about our activities at Radio Munich during the occupation period 1945/46 I have a billeting list which shows the names of others who were on the staff at Radio Munich if anyone is interested. Does the term Billeting locations mean " assigned living quarters' or could it mean "assigned work locations" Jessie, Calif ==== WORLDWAR2 Mailing List ==== We are an international list! 3. Jessie & Paul: I remember when I was in the WRNS in England, we used to tune in to a late show called "Midnight in Munich" which was put on I presume for the Allied Forces ; it was a great show for the best upbeat music of its time, with great recordings by such as Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, and Benny Goodman bands, not to mention the top vocalists of that time. Maybe this info. will help to jog someone else's memory and give you more info.
