Hello everyone; My name is Robert Leonard and I am researching my grandfather Joseph Anthony Romano born 15 March 1900. He was in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was from Hudson County, NJ. He served in the following units of which I know only what I have shown below. From Dec. 1942 to May 1944: U.S.N.O.B. based in Trinidad, BWI From May 1944 to June 1944: Receiving Barracks, Lido Beach, NY From June 1944 to June 1944: RS, Nyd, Washington, DC From June 1944 to June 1944: RS, Charleston, SC From June 1944 to Aug 1944: USN, Section Base, Southport, NC Anyone that might have known my gf or knows anything about the Mission of these bases?
