I've gone thru this Census a little more thoroughly and have discovered that William Jesse Goodale is listed as serving in the 31st Infantry which was a branch of the Army (?). I went thru each of the 88 pages and copied the Company or Troop for each page. William Goodale is listed on page 67 and pages 67 thru 70 are listed for Company or Troop "Casuals". Could someone tell me what this means? Also under the heading Residence its lists: Lansing, California 1268 E. 49th St. I can't find a Lansing, California. I would like to send for the military records, I'm especially interested in his personal information. Are these different records than the military ones? I'm confused whether I should fill out and send SF 180 or DDform 204. Any help will be appreciated. Marie
