Hi Rick: If I understand this correctly CE does not refer to Combat Engineer, Construction Engineer, but Corps of Engineers. So the 17th Armored Engineer Bn was considered Corps of Engineers. Do I have that right? Would all engineers have the CE abbreviation? In other words if my friend had remained with the 320th ECB when he was discharged he would still have the CE abbreviation?
