You should order his service records. They would probably have details as to his death. The Royal Berkshire Regiment War Diaries should also have some reports on his death. He might not be mentioned by name but the incident would be. Something as simple as. . . "Report of Lt. Johnston C Company 12/06/44 One driver killed when lorry overturned on steep mountain road. Suspected brake failure Body recovered."
