Your advice on posting is appreciated! Using the history of my father's WWII unit (mostly a compilation of monthly reports compiled by the communications officer) as a starting point, Id like to write a history of the unit. Ive been in contact with a couple of my fathers buddies, but Id like to be in contact with as many as possible, to interview them, to preserve their memories. I have a roster of the men in the unit it runs to about 280 names along with their hometowns as of November 20, 1945. I would like to post the list here in case a reader recognizes a name and would be willing to be in touch with me (its a stab in the dark, I realize). Before posting, though, I wanted to ask the group for advice on how to go about it. To post it in one large chunk would result in a huge post and Im afraid it would get read. I could break it down into smaller chunks and make several posts, but I dont want try peoples patience with too many posts. What would the preference of the group be? Thank you for your patience and assistance. For those who are interested: My father, James Early (d. 1998), was a private in the 303rd Airdrome Squadron of the U.S. Army Air Force from 1942-1945. The 303rd served in the Pacific Theater from January 1944 through the end of the War in places such as New Guinea (Wakde Island, especially), Philippines (Leyte and Mindoro), and ultimately in Korea in November 1945. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? If you like you can send the names to my e-mail, if you have their home state or DOB, add that - if you can download the entire list to me, that would be OK delilah ----- Original Message ----- From: "David Early" <davidearly1@yahoo.com> To: <WORLDWAR2-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, March 28, 2006 3:49 PM Subject: [WORLD WAR II] Posting advice | Your advice on posting is appreciated! | | Using the history of my father's WWII unit (mostly a | compilation of monthly reports compiled by the | communications officer) as a starting point, I'd like | to write a history of the unit.
