I write here every year or so, just to see if someone might've wandered in who knows about it. | The ship was USS ARD-24. ARDs were Auxiliary Repair Drydocks, and did *not* have any other name except USS ARD and a number. ARD-24 was stationed in the Pacific, docked at Apra Harbor, Guam. It repaired mostly submarines. I've obtained the deck log, which is very scant. | I'm going to list the names of the men who were on this ship, in hopes that some of them, or their families, might happen across this message. I do have each of their service numbers. It was a relatively small crew, so I hope you can bear with me.
