    3. Rick, No, I have most of the specs, and do know the ship's fate. It was sold (maybe to South America)...somewhere I have the info on that, but can't recall it at the moment. What I'd like to have is information about exactly where the ship went (into battles?), and how (always towed?), and what duties the men aboard had. My father was a metalsmith, but who knows what else? I have heard bits and pieces of things, but nothing concrete. I understand that while anchored at Guam, the men had "beach duty", which I'd like to know more about. I do have my father's service records, but of course, there's not much information there. He was trained at the Naval Drydock Training Center in Tiburon, CA. Apparently, that facility no longer exists. Whatever information might come along would be hugely appreciated. Have tried to find someone in charge of reunions, but the man listed died several years ago. Thanks...
