    3. I know this is only partially a WWII question, but there are so many knowlegeable people here, maybe you can help. I'm looking for information on whether ships logs--events that happened on board during a sailing--were kept for very long. The ship in question was of the Norddeutscher Lloyd line out of Bremen Germany. With Allied Bombings, would records from 1900 have been destroyed? The ship was the Kaiser Wilhelm der Grosse which docked in New York on Sept 26, 1900. The der Grosse was eventually sunk in WWI

    3. Hi, I am not sure what you are looking for but have you looked at the Ellis Island website. They list passengers and crew. 3. Hi Gladys, It was about this time that the Wilhelm der Grosse took the west bound Blue Riband. There are a number of books on the matter. If you get no answer to your question, I could suggest that you contact 1. the Bremen Archives at; . information@staatsarchiv.bremen.de 2. Mystic Seaport Museum which does have records of the Norddeutscher Lloyd line 3. The Norddeutscher Lloyd Museum at info@historisches-museum-bremerhaven.de Hope that this helps.
