There is a database of WW2 POW's on NARA - it will tell you where/which camp he/she went to but I doubt it will tell 'how they were treated' - there is a project called "Voices of War", the Library of Congress has books on actual accounts of those that served and those that helped on the 'home front'. I would encourage anyone who was in or had someone in, that you tell their story, let our future hear from our past, let us not forget! If you send me a name (if you are hunting for anyone in particular), I will see if I can find the camp. ----- Original Message ----- From: "roger baldwin" <pamela.roger@optusnet.com.au> To: <WORLDWAR2-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, July 16, 2006 10:30 PM Subject: [WORLD WAR II] Prisoners of War Crete | Hello List, | I would like to find out where the infantry who fought on Crete were | kept as prisoners of war and the conditions of the camp. | Does anyone know where I could find this information on the net. | | Regards, Pamela. | | | ==== WORLDWAR2 Mailing List ==== | http://lists.rootsweb.com/index/other/Military:_20th_Century/WORLDWAR2.html | This is the link to our archives.
