That's wonderful! Thank you for answering my email. Would you have any idea how I could find out to which college he was sent? His college transcripts mention credit transfers from the Carnegie Institute of Technology. Would that mean that he attended their school in Pittsburgh? I realize this is highly unlikely, but by any chance would you have known him - Peter (Pete) Bianchetta? In either case thank you for taking the time to pass on this information. God bless, Adrienne Inman

Andrienne, if he transferred credits from CIT, now Carnegie Mellon University, I think it is safe to assume that he was in their ASTP Unit. Carnegie Mellon may be able to tell you if he attended in that time frame. His Army Record would be the real source of information. I did not know him. When I was in the STAR Unit at Pasadena Junior College, the shipment before mine went to CIT. As a Pittsburgh, PA native I was more than slightly upset. Ellis Hosbach Bethel Park, PA
