I am trying to verify the fact that a Japanese hospital ship was intercepted by the US navy in the South Pacific ca 1945 and taken to Morotai. The ship was alleged to have been carrying combat capable troops and arms. I was an infantryman in the AIF on Morotai at the time I heard the story and have a print of a photo taken there. I think I actually saw the ship, but time plays tricks with one's memory. There must be a record of the event of the capture if this did in fact happen. Does anyone know of the event & can name the vessel ?. Couldn't find anything via Google. Regards, from Sydney, Dave
