I have records on my father from the Marine Corps for 1946. It appears that he was in "M" btry. 4th battalion, 11th Marine Force. Went to China and returned from there on the ship USS General H.W. Butner at Taku, China departed there 15 July 1946 arrived San Diego, Ca. 9 August, 1946. I also have a list of names that I believe were the other members of the battalion.
