    3. Just found a gem of a little book called HISTORY IN CATOOSA CO. BY William Henry Harrison Clark, DVM, MPH, Major, US Army, 1972. (If anyone has ANY families in Walker, Catoosa or Whitfield Co., check it out. His descriptions are priceless.) Page 78: John D. Wooten and Frank Webb, in 1848, and for a year or two after, sold liquor at Ringgold. Wooten's wife was a sister of Webb. Thomas B. and Charles L. Wootten sold liquor at Ringgold in 1848 and for some time after. In 1849, Charles L. Wootten purchased the livery stable, or built it, near the Depot. In 1853 he bought out Felker's saloon. His wife was a sister of Dr. G. G. Gordon. -- Beth Sauceman LaFayette, GA
