Hi to my fellow Wooten researchers: Ive been reading all of the exchanges of information concerning Aaron Wooten and now Im totally confused! Since we all share our data, I want to make sure mine is correct. According to my records, I have three, maybe even four Aarons. First, Richard Wootens 1808 Surry LW&T, names his children: #42. Richard Wooten (bef.1793/1808) m.Mary (??) 1779 Surry NC Land Entry #473 1779 Surry NC road work 1808-LW&T(Surry NC) lists wf & heirs: i. Abraham (bef.1808/****) ii. John (bef.1808/****) iii. Mary (bef.1808/****) viii. Sucky (bef.1808/****) Second, is the 1814 Fairfield SC LW&T of Aaron Wooten, SR., (Will Bk 6, pg.55) which lists his heirs: wf Mary, sons: Aaron Jr., Moses, Joseph, John, dau Ruth(Miles), Executors trusty friends and sons: John and Aaron. (This Aaron has to be old enough in 1814 to serve as executor) Third, the Claim of South Carolinians for services in the Revolutionary War. If Aaron put in his claim in 1785 for militia duty, then he had to have been old enough to have served. Hes also on the 1790 Fairfield Cty, SC census. 1781 Eliab Wooton.
