Wooten Honea Path - Amos Bead Wooten, Rt. 3, Honea Path (SC) died at his home Friday at 8:15 p.m. after a year of declining health and an illness of six weeks. A native of North Carolina, he was a son of Eber (Elber) and Elizabeth Harvey Wooten. He was a member of the Riverside Baptist Church and was a deacon of the church. He was employed by Chiquola Mfg. Co., of Honea Path. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ethel Mathews Wooten, five sons, Walter Bascom Wooten of Washington, Forrest Claude Wooten of Honea Path, Jack Alton Wooten of Clinton, B.A. and Samuel Boyd Wooten of Honea Path, three daughters, Mrs. Haynie Dean (Lucille) of Ware Shoals, Mrs. Charles E. Brown (Stella) of PresquiIsle, Me., and Mrs. William Boyd Alewine (Elsie Mae) of Honea Path. Two sisters Mrs. Delia "Deely" Ellison of Greenville, and Mrs. Laurie Glazner of Travelers Rest, three brothers, F.A. Wooten of Greenville, Claude Wooten of Mt. Holly, NC, and Will Wooten of Gastonia, NC, and 21 grandchildren. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Cox Funeral Home of Belton. [email protected]
