Hello all, haven't posted my info in a while. Any help would be so appreciated. Desperately searching for info on my Greatgrandfather, EBER WOOTEN. He was married to ELIZABETH HARVEY. They had 8 children, that I am aware of. I located them in the 1900 Buncombe County, NC Census. Listed were Eber @ 34 b. Georgia Dec. 1865 w/wife Elizabeth C. - living in Black Mountain Township. I have no death info on Eber, but know that Elizabeth Harvey Wooten d. in Greenville, SC abt. 1930. Living with her at the time was a Frank Wooten, not sure of relationship, maybe a cousin of Eber's. Frank Wooten d. in Greenville, SC abt. 1935. Eber and Elizabeth's children: William "Will/Bill" Wooten - b. NC - d. after 1962 (info from obituary). In 1962 was living in Gastonia, NC. Claude Wooten - b. NC - d. abt. 1980 - lived in Mt. Holly, NC. Walter Wooten - b. NC - d. before 1962 - (not mentioned in obituary in 1962) Samuel Wooten - b. NC Oct. 1887 - d. Oct. 1964 Greenville, SC. Married Flore ? Forest A. Wooten - b. NC May 1982 - d. Oct. 1974 Greenville, SC. Jesse Ada Wooten - b. NC Feb. 1895 - d. Dec. 1969 Greenville, SC - Married Leury/Laurie GLAZNER. Had a son named Alvoid Glazner. Delia "Deely" Wooten - b. NC April 1899 - d. Oct. 1966 Greenville, SC - Married to ??? ELLISON. (My Grandfather) Amos Bead Wooten - b. Brevard, NC (Transylvania Co) Feb. 1900 - d. Honea Path, SC Nov. 23, 1962. Married: Ethel MATTHEWS - b. Arthur, TN (Claiborne Co) Feb. 1900 - d. Honea Path, SC Oct. 1985. Children: Lucille Wooten - b. 1921 Greenville, SC - m. Haney DEAN. Walter Bascom Wooten - b. 1923 Greenville, SC - m. Christine KOVAR. Forrest "Claude" Wooten - b. 1927 Honea Path, SC - m. Lillian COLE Jack Alton Wooten - b. 1929 Honea Path, SC - m. Elise BUTLER Stella Wooten - b. 1932 Honea Path, SC - m. 1st Charlie BROWN - m. 2nd Jerry OWENS. B.A. Wooten - b. 1934 Honea Path, SC - m. Marlene LOLLIS. Elsie Mae Wooten - b. 1935 Honea Path, SC - m. William "Willie" Boyd ALEWINE. Samuel "Boyd" Wooten - b. 1939 Honea Path, SC - m. Ann COATES. All of these children still live in Honea Path, Greenville, WareShoals area of SC, but one, Walter Bascom Wooten who resides in Washington State.
