I've been looking and looking, but had no idea there were Wootens here! I think I looked about everywhere else, but I never thought to look in York County! I've been trying to find the parents of Silas Penix Wooten - Rev. War.-enlisted in Halifax County, VA ---or could it have been NC as he was married in NC? I thought maybe he linked to the Isle of Wight Wootens. Little did I know there were Wootens in York County! So, since I spend a lot of time there, I thought I'd ask to satisfy my curiosity.
