I'll add it to my files. However, I think my Caroline Waters connection is more recent than the one you describe. Perhaps the more recent Waters connection is distantly connected to the one you describe. In my searches, I continue to be surprised at how many generations the same surnames seem to be intertwined. I suppose they all migrated together over the years. One of my aunts who is now deceased wrote in a letter that a Waters "cousin" came to my grandfather R. I. Cook's funeral in 1966. He was grandson of Caroline Waters Wooten/Wooton's. (R. I. Cook, b. 1883, Ellis County, TX, son of Ellen Wooten/Wooton) The reason this Waters was mentioned in the letter was that in comparing genealogy, the conversation revealed that she apparently had done much research on the Waters line -- back to England, I think. That was the only comment that I have run across, so I don't know which "cousin" she was. I'm still researching. The 1880 Census online is wonderful, but I have failed to find several of my family members there -- and I *know* they were in the U. S. that year. We still own the land they were living on and have the handwritten deed; I am certain that they were there. It is possible they are just missing from the online census; I have not checked the original (since I had the information I expected to find there).
