Greetings Listers! I have just re-joined this list after a long absence. It is time for me to resume my search of my great great grandmother,,,JANE NETTA WOOTEN. She was born somewhere in OHIO 12 Oct 1831. Parents are unknown. I am searching for her parents names.....census records on Jane say her parents were born in VA. Jane married on 22 Jul 1850 at SOUTH BEND, ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, INDIANA, to ANANIAS WILSON. I have searched the 1850 census records, but have not found either Jane or Ananias on the census, either before or after their marriage. (I say they must have been on their honeymoon and just missed the census taker!! grin) Without their parents' names, it is impossible to know who to look for. In 1863, Jane is residing in HARRISON, KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, INDIANA, with three sons, JAMES S. WILSON - B 13 JUL 1851, GEORGE WORTH WILSON, B 10 FEB 1855 and SYLVESTER WILSON, B 21 JUN 1857. It is possible she was with or near family members, possibly her Wooten parents???
