I'm trying to determine when my g, grandfather and his siblings left Edgecombe Co, NC, what route they took and when they settled in MS (Marshall, DeSoto, Tate Co. In 1840 three of the four were living in Edgecombe Co., NC, with Tabitha, their widowed mother. In 1850, I don't find Tabitha anywhere, but Absalom, Redmond and Luanza are in Marshall Co., MS, and I know Spencer (my g,grandfather) was in the CA Gold Rush at that time. Any info will be appreciated. Sylvia
