At my wife's cousin's 100th birthday party in Poolesville, Md last weekend, where she taught 2nd grade from 1920-1962, there was a history of the school. The land was donated by one Dr. E. Wootton ca. 1900. I know of no connection between this branch of the family and mine, which was on the Eastern Shore of Maryland (i.e. East of the Chesapeake Bay) by 1671. Several Woottons, perhaps related, are to be found in my wife's family tree. Is anyone studying this branch of the family?
