My grandfather just recently passed away. His name was Raymond Wooten, he was the son of Richard Lee Wooten and Ethel L. Higgins. Richard passed away when my grandfather was young. My grandfather had 3 biological siblings named Hazel she is still living, and had a brother named Tommy, and he died around the age of 2. We know we are of Cherokee decent because my grandfather was barried in Red Hill Cemetry just out side of Moulton AL. I know that Richard had siblings from my understanding two brother and it unknown if there were sisters. Richard Lee Wooten had a brother name cecil wooten. I know there is mention of doings in Laural Miss. Also my grandfather when born could not get a birthcertificate through the country clerk, the midwife who delivered him made a birth certificate. Also my grandfather was in what they called a CC camp. There is also some information that ties my grandfather to the railroad, and oil, but we can not be sure.
