I am the direct desendent of Robert Wooten born in Vir. in 1823. The exact place is not known,but he some how wound up in Floyd co. Ga on the 1900 fed census. He was quoted as being full blooded Cherokee,Black, and White? Robert married a Martha Perry when he was 55yrs old and she was 15 leading me to believe he was married before and probably more than once. I do have a great uncle named James Wooten who lived in Tenn and passed for white until his death, and is now buried in the Wooten plot at West Rome cemetary in Rome Ga.
