I am looking for any piece of information that could identify the ancestry of Joel and Elizabeth Butler WOOTEN, both born in Virginia. They were in Indiana in by 1858 when one son, Elsey (or Elza, Ellsworth or even Eliza!) was born. The latter was living in Darke County, OH, at least by 1877 when he married Mary Elizabeth HECK.
