COMMENTS: Of the eight patentees supposed to be of New England only two, Thomas Coppyn and Joel Woolsey, left no record in New England. THOMAS COPPYN was brother-in-law of WALTER NORTON, also a patentee. Perhaps Joel Woolsey was himself related to one of the patentees.
