Hello, My name is Eric Olson. This, however, is not my biological name. My grandfather, Ray, according to his baptismal record, from Bethlehem Lutheran Church, in Fergus Falls, Otter Tail Co., MN, was the biological son of Edgar Wolsey. My grandfather was born in 1907, in Fergus Falls. His biological mother, Alma Chapman, my biological g-grandmother, married Oliver Olson in 1914, in Fergus Falls. Oliver adopted Ray. Thus, my last name is Olson. Outside of the baptismal record, the only sign of an Edgar Wolsey ever existing is in the Mormon's International Genealogical Index/ North America. Three Edgar Woolseys are listed, two have dates that could work: Edgar Charles WOOLSEY, Birth: 24 Dec 1873 Trois Rivieres, St.-Maurice, Quebec; and Edgar WOOLSEY, Birth: Abt. 1859, New Jersey. My g-grandmother, Alma, was born in 1887, in Fergus Falls, I believe. The few traces of Wo(o)lseys in Minnesota Censuses around the time of my grandfather's birth (1907) weren't in the same (NW) region of the state. All I have are a couple foggy family stories as to why/how Edgar was separated from Alma, but no concrete evidence to support them. A possibility is Edgar enlisted in the armed forces for WWI. Does anyone have any knowledge of the above Edgar Wo(o)lseys? And, does anybody know if an Edgar Wo(o)lsey served in WWI? I am trying to uncover an untold story, almost a century old, and will appreciate anything from any of you. Thank you. Hope to talk soon, Eric (Wolsey?)Olson __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo! Auctions - buy the things you want at great prices http://auctions.yahoo.com/
