To Hollis Don Woolsey, Arlington, Texas & interested Woolsey researchers: Hi, Don. Thank you for your most interesting posting. I have not run across your family before, so I find it intriguing. I have finished the 1850, 1860, 1870 and 1880 censuses of Texas but did not run across your family, but they seem to have come into Texas after 1880. I did find Richard S. Woolsey and his family in the 1880 Denton Co, Texas, Census, but I can't place him either. He could be an older brother. I wonder about John Johnson Woolsey and John James Woolsey. Do you think they could be the same individual as well as Rebecca Milda Ruth and Amanda Ruth being the same girl??? Stranger things happen by the record keepers. Probably not, but I wondered if the later date was of the return of the actual marriage. Anyway, I'm treating them as two separate families as of this time.
