Here's something that could help us all... my Hubs showed this to me and it is very cool... it allows you to share an application...like a genealogy program... without the other person having it on their computer. (they can also take control of your program if you wish but you should trust them first!) During this you can talk to them with the microphone . it is called netmeeting. to get net meeting you go to searc.com, type "netmeeting" into the search frame at the bottom of the page. scroll through until you find "microsoft netmeeting" download and install it. then after you are connected to the internet you start this program. you find out your IP number (use the start button at the bottom left then run winipcfg and it will give you that number. It will be different each time you are on the net.) You find out the other person's IP number and you can connect up and actually talk about your genealogy by showing your program to the other person while you verbally (or chat dialogue box) talk. photos and everything show up. will be great for trying to figure out connections.
