About 2 years ago, I was on an email list that described a connection with Jesse James and his gang. Apparently, a female resident of Missouri would hang a red item clothing on the clothesline as a signal to the James gang that the coast was clear and they could come inside for a meal. (This seem to only happen when the females' husband was travelling on business) I read this on either INGRAM or WOOLSEY list, but can't remember which? Does this ring a bell with anyone? Val
