I'm sorry I can't be of much help. I have 17 Noah Woolseys in my database, but your Noah Woolsey b 1850 doesn't seem to fit in anyplace. He should have showed up in the 1860 and 1870 census but I don't have a Noah that fits that time period. Here are a few questions that may help: 1. Do you know where Noah Woolsey was born? If he was born in Ohio, he could fit into the family of John T. Woolsey of Auglaise Co, OH, who had a few children end up in Jasper Co, MO. But Noah does not appear in the census records with John T. Woolsey & family. >>I am not sure where Noah was born. I am not a Woolsey researcher, but this >>name is very important in the research of my grandmother. A Woolsey family >>raised her and I am trying to find this particular family. I did find some >>info on ancestry.com. It is as follows: Stephen C. Woolsey b abt 1817 - Breckenridge, Caldwell, MO m Elizabeth Caton - b abt 1821 - Breckenridge, Caldwell, MO Children: Newton Woolsey b 1843 - Breckenridge, Caldwell, MO Noah Woolsey b May 1850 Carroll Co., MO Caton E. Woolsey b 1859 Carroll Co., MO 2. Do you know of any brothers and/or sisters of Noah Woolsey? This may help identify him. 3. Did Noah Woolsey & Nancy Stringer have any children? What are their names? >>I have names of some Woolseys that I found among personal belongings of my >>grandmother - do not know if they are children of Noah and Nancy<< 4. Could you please send me the obit of Noah? There may be clues in there that would help. As follows: WEBB CITY SENTINEL - May 9, 1906 Noah Woolsey died yesterday morning at his home near Oakland as the result of heart failure. He was an old resident of this district and a member of the School Creek Baptist Church. Deceased is survived by his widow. The funeral will be on Friday afternoon, with services by Rev. Mr. Tooley, and the internment will be at the Webb City Cemetery. 5. Could Noah have another name? Nehemiah? or other? Thank you very much. Sincerely, Wilford W. Whitaker Thank you Wilford for your help. Shirley _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com.
