Hi, I am new to the list and wanted to introduce myself. I am tracing the family tree for my daughters and thus have to trace my husband's side as well!! I have just started on this and today received an Australian death certificate which has given me a few leads. I am hoping that someone may recognise some names/places and be able to offer some assistance or advise - fingers crossed, I may even find a relative or 2!!!! The information I have is...... Charles William John FOX Born about 1861 in St Albans, Hertfordshire, England Parents: Christopher FOX and Harriet WOOLFORD Charles William John FOX was a master painter and his father Christopher was a Journeyman Carpenter. Charles William John FOX married Ellen MORRIS at St Albans, Hertfordshire about 1881. Charles William John FOX and his wife Ellen migrated to Australia about 1884. In 1885 or 1887(date varies depending on his father's death certificate or his own marriage certificate), when his son Charles Edward was born, he lived in Townsville, Queensland, Australia. Charles and Ellen had 4 children in total - Charles Edward, Albert John, Beatrice Ellen and one female (deceased at time of Charles W J FOX's death).
