    3. Active addresses not generating bouncing emails are in no danger of removal. I am just attempting to staunch the flood of cannot delivers e-mails I am receiving at each post. This list has obviously been adrift for a while as I had no where near this problem when I adopted PLIMPTON-L, but that list is quieter than this one. james wall At 09:57 AM 9/4/2005, you wrote: >Keep me on the list also .... >My Woolford is Theodore Woolford ... 3. The only people being purged are those whose e-mails are bouncing back to me indicating an expired or dead e-address. If you account is open and active you were never in danger. I just want to end to flood of cannot deliver messages I receive after each posting. 3. Dear John, You have added some interesting information to our WOOLFORD researches. You can find a summary of my WOOLFORD database - now somewhat out of date - on my webite: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~pnlowe/woolford.htm I have been following all WOOLFORDs from the Wilts, Berks, Hants, Bucks areas I had, as you wrote, tht Robert was son of John & Mary (HAINES), but did not know the details of Robert's marriage or of Eliza's marriage. Do you know anything further than this on Robert & Matilda's family?: Robert WOOLFORD, labourer in iron works in 1871; Spring Grinder G W R Rly Carriage Maker in 1881 b.c.1839 in Eisey, Wilts [??] m. to Matilda, b.c.1845 in Gloster 1. John WOOLFORD b.c.1870 in Stratton, Wilts [born Swindon from 1871 census] 2. Edith Matilda WOOLFORD b.c.1871 in Swindon 3. Eliza WOOLFORD b.c.1873 in Swindon 4. Harry WOOLFORD b.c.1875 in Swindon 5. Elizabeth WOOLFORD b.c.1880 in Swindon addresses: 1851: Eisey 1871: Easted[?] Hill Cricklade 1881: No 2 Stanley Terrace Priv House Rodbourne Cheney I know very little about John ( Robert's father): He was stated from Censuses to be born approx 1811 in Eisey. Grahame Collins informed me that he was married in 1831 in Eisey to Mary HAINES (have you seen this marriage entry?). He was living in Eisey in 1851 & 1871 censuses. Do you know anything further? There is one clue: In 1871 Robert was living next door to Mark WOOLFORD, son of George WOOLFORD & Mary Ann PINNELL, bapt.24 Dec 1843 in Lydiard Millicent. Not sure if this is coincidence or suggests a connection. Going back to STURMEY, that name appears in this connection: George TYLER, b.c.1834 in Woolstone, Berks m. to Elizabeth STURMEY 1. Robert TYLER, machinist Engine work (1901) b.c.1867 in Lydiard Millicent m. 1886 in Lydiard Millicent Wilts to Ellen WOOLFORD, b.02 Oct 1846 in Lydiard Millicent d.16 Feb 1910 in Swindon, dau.of George WOOLFORD (bapt.21 May 1820-14 Nov 1896) & Mary Ann PINNELL (23 Jul 1820) Regards Peter Lowe Hertford, England > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ > Subject:> Re: Woolford > From:> john_st65@yahoo.co.uk > Date:> 1 Sep 2005 04:11:55 -0600 > To:> WOOLFORD-L@rootsweb.com > > To:> WOOLFORD-L@rootsweb.com > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > Message Board URL: > http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/YIXBAEB/1.27 > > Message Board Post: > > Hi Janice. > I have been researching the Sturmey family tree for about a year now. 2. Woolford - Wolford Wolfart etc in Shenandoah Co. VA It seems that the Wolfords ( or how ever you want to spell it) in Shenandoah Co migrated freely between Bedford Co PA, Washington Co MD and Shenandoah Co VA. I have some records of Frederick and Daniel Woolford in Shenandoah Co., but they seem to be the generation prior to yours. The records I have are mostly land records and a couple marriage bonds. If you would like copies, e-mail me directly with your snail mail address and I will get them in the mail to you. I used to publish a newsletter called The Wolford Connection. I published this info in December 1994. Jim in Vermont.
