I just joined this list and thought I'd throw my sketchy information out to see if anyone can help me. The Woods enters in on my husband's line. His great-grandmother was Roberta Woods. All we know about her is that she died 11 May 1926 in Albequerque, New Mexico and was buried on 12 May 1926 in Fairview Park Cemetery, Albequerque, New Mexico. The story goes that she was married to a Woods... my husband doesn't know the first name of this Woods and he doesn't know her maiden name. She had several children with this man who all bear the Woods name. At some point she ran off and married Fred Burtcher. They were married we think in Albuquerque,New Mexico. They had at least one child who is my husband's grandfather, John H. Woods b. 8 Dec 1896 in Albuquerque, New Mexico (we think) d.20 Feb 1956 in Albuquerque, New Mexico and is buried on 22 Feb 1956 in Fairview Park,Albuquerque, New Mexico. John H. Woods married Bessie Lee Matlock (I have pictures of graves and of both of these people)around 1917 we think in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Their children were: 1.Cloe S. Dec 1992 in Albuquerque,NM buried in Fairview Park Cemetery, Albuquerque, NM 5. Hugh Micheal Woods b.16 May 1916 in Albuquerque, NM d.25 Aug 1957 in Albuquerque, NM buried in Fairview Park Cemetery, Albuquerque, NM 6. Hazel Woods b. about 1918 in Albuquerque, NM 7. Leo Burtcher Woods b. about 1920 in Albuquerque, NM 8. Robert David Woods b. Albuquerque, NM d. in infancy in Albuquerque, NM 9. Wanda Mae Woods (my husband's mother) b.13 Feb 1934 in Albuquerque, NM d.18 Apr 1998 in Denver, Colorado buried 22 Apr 1998 in Ft. Logan Cemetery, Denver, Colorado married John H. Bagwell 21 Feb 1955 in Albuquerque, NM This is all the information we have on this line.
