Hope this sounds familiar to someone as I would like to find descendents of these people James Wood/s ( depended upon the day of the week as to weather he used the s or not ) m. Sarah around 1790 or 95 supposedly in Balt. Md. Then they traveled to what is now Greene Co. Pa for a period of years and by 1825 they are settled in Wetzel Co. WV and died there sometime prior to 1860. One known son is William WOOD b. about 1817 m. Dorcas Lemasters and had the following children; Sarah Ann b. 1838,,James A. b. 1840,, Jacob b. 1841,,Issac b. 1842,, Lemuel b. 1843,, Hiram Ransom b. 1847,, Nancy b. 1849,, Mary b. 1851,, Martha b. 1852,, Josephus b. 1854,, Dorcas b. 1859,, all of these children were born in Wetzel Co. WV and show up on the 1850 census for Wetzel. I can't get back any further than William or find his siblings, although I have some names that i think are his brothers and maybe even sisters but I have no proof as the records for Greene County burned.
