I have lots of information concerning the Ohio Quaker - Woods family. It was written many years ago by a Dr. J. T. Woods of Toledo, Ohio and then another family, the Ivyl Shaw family - another very old genealogist- gave this to me. Dr. Woods has written a lot from an oral history handed down by the family. Apparently when the Woods family left Germany in 1751 they were the Waltz family My Jacob was b. 6/10/1740 and m. Isabella Russell b.1743 marriage date unknown. Their ch. Joseph, John, Elizabeth, Joshua, Enos, Jacob, Lewis . Then, Joseph Woods b,Oct, 27, 1770 m. Sarah Peterson and their child, Jacob b Aug. 21, 1825 m. Lydia Hatcher (b. June 6, 1826) Their ch. were: Lorenzo Dom, Elizabeth Rebecca, Louisa Malissa, Samyra Armintha, Hannah Rachel, Sarah Ann, Ann Elizabeth, James WEsley, and Ida Theresa. Have I helped anyone?
