Greetings, I am seeking the parents of Catherine Elizabeth (Kitty/Kittie) WOOD, married to Robert N. MIERS ca. 1901 in Dallas, TX. I found an entry for this family in the 1920 US Census, no records for 1910, and no luck looking for her family in the 1900 census. I have found a marriage certificate from Dallas, but no mention of her parents. I'm feeling rather stuck at this point. My inclination is to approach the Dallas Public Library, but am not sure what to request, beyond the above. Can/Will they check newspapers for that era, or does this require a trip to Dallas?
