My g-grandfather, Peter J. Woods, was born in 1835 in the Emanuel County (Mt. Vernon) area and lived there and in Candler County, GA all his life. He entered the Civil War in 1863, serving in Capt. Grubbs Company, a local militia company. In 1864 he married Georgeanna Lively. I have the names of his descendants, if anyone is interested, but need the names of his parents. Can anyone help?
