Brett, My heart skipped a beat when I first read your post. I will give you what information I have on my Jacob (4GGrandfather): Jacob Woods, b. Mar 28, 1805, Westmoreland (possibly Armstrong) Co., PA, m. Barbara Widaman b. May 10, 1808, 1829 in Westmoreland Co (possibly Armstrong) PA. They had 11 children: Daniel, Joel, Caroline, Isaac, John, Lebbeus, Catherine, Mary, Lavina, Eli. Unfortunately, I have no information on the names of Jacob's parents other than assumed in the 1810 census, but so far have been unable to prove anything. In my records, Jacob's mother was married 4 times: Wible, Stillwell, Likes and lastly, Woods. I do not have first names on any of her husbands, but do know that Jacob had a half-brother named Isaac Wible which he was very close to, which he nameed his fourth child after. I have extensive information on Isaac, Lebbeus and Eli, Jacob's sons and their descendants. Any of this ring a bell? -Anita Wife to Russ, sahm to Nick, Eli, John and #4 due 06/29/00: homebirthed, homeschooled, cloth-bottomed, breastfed, family bed, noncirc'd, nonvacc'd (Thank you Jesus!) bfwoods@trail.com writes: << Has any researched the Samuel, Jacob and Jeremiah Woods that are enmumerated on the 1790 Washington County PA census? I am wondering if they are connected to the following Woods family that is referenced in following Chaukey, Augusta County VA entries: 19 August 1794--Daniel Donavin and Jacob Woods, surety. Daniel Donavin and Elizabeth Woods. Affidavit of Elizabeth's full age. 24 February 1800.--Mary Woods relinquishes her right to administer on the estate of her son Jacob Woods in favor of her son William Woods. 24 February 1800--William Woods, administrator of Jacob Woods. 7 March 1800--Jacob Woods' estate appraisement taken by Jno.
